Ania and Ingvar have a passion for variety and international flavour and this is eloquently reflected in these beautifully-appointed rooms.

The Provence Suite is situated at the front of the Pine & Picket. It has its own balcony with stunning views of the waterfront. Watch the ferries, seaplanes, and boaters come and go and enjoy the natural beauty of Newcastle channel and Departure Bay. This room is appointed with angels and cherubs and carries a delicate flavour of French romanticism and luxury.

The Madagascar Suite is somewhat larger with views toward the city quarter and beautiful Brechin hill. Gardens and greenery reach up to kiss the window and the hummingbirds frequent this southern exposure. The room is appointed with carvings of elephants and other African art creating the sensation of a luxurious retreat from the heat of the safari.

Both rooms open into a foyer with comfortable leather sofas and a taste of Japanese design. Sit back and relax with a good book, swap travel stories with your fellow guests, or stroll out onto the wide balcony which overlooks Newcastle Channel and Stones Marina nestled just below us. Each room has it own fully appointed bathroom, high quality queen-size pillow-top mattresses, fine bedspreads and linens with down and feather pillows (and asthma-friendly ones for those who need them), cable tvs, desks with telephone and internet access, dressers and closets, and cozy housecoats and slippers to relax in.
